Electrical drives for winches almost belong to the standard equipment of a modern boat. As something for the support of the work winch, the anchor windlass or the bow thruster. However, the use of the effort saving aid is often connected with an enormous power requirement, which often brings a battery to the limit of its capacity.

A specially developed adapter kit for the main engine, which can be retrofitted on the engine mount, taps into the required drive torque directly in the crank shaft. Therefore, sufficient reserves are available to provide the necessary energy, which also represents no problem for a large bow thruster. The hydraulic pump runs empty during the operation of the main machine and is only connected, when one of the users calls up energy.
An additional small electrical pump with correspondingly low service and low current drain suffices for the operation of the work winches for trimming the sail, and when the main engine is not in operation. Through use of the accumulator, this can be reduced even further. In this way, battery banks with 320 to 440 ampere hours are enough to provide a comfortable environment.
Depending on the conditions of usage, the installation of a generator can also be waived.
Individual functions can also be operated by a BUS system, which indicates all functions and additional information through a control panel installed in the control column. For example, the setting of the seacocks, battery charge condition, diesel tank level or the water and waste water tank level. It supersedes temperamental switch ranges and display indicators.
